09:06 pm: "Aaron needs to go to NC" Tour 2006
I am searching for a traveling companion /payer-of-approximately-one half-of-the-gas-money to accompany me to North Carolina this coming Friday(leaving preferably sometime before 2PM, but i can be flexible) through Sunday(again, leaving around 2). My previous plans fell through, so I'm kind of desperate and I apologize to the working folk for such a short notice. I plan to bring my own food and lodging is free as long as you like couch and/or floor, so bring a pillow and a blanket.

I'm visiting my good friends Korey and Stacey who have a house in Statesville, NC, between Hickory and Charlotte. If you don't know them, don't worry, you'll know them plenty by the time we leave, they're friendly people. Our tentative plans are to "chill" and "kick out the jams," whatever those mean. If you're interested leave me a message on myspace (link in profile,) email me at opivy5251988@hotmail.com or hit me on AIM at opivy5251988.

Please and thank you.
-Aaron

10:27 pm: I'm trying to arrange for a local (around Kent or Akron) screening of "We Jam Econo", a documentary about the Minutemen, who are probably one of my favorite bands. If you or anyone you know would be interested in this film or know someplace that might screen it around here, please hit up info@theminutemen.com with an email. Seriously, it's not often that we get a chance to have something like this around this part of Ohio. Many of us, myself included, were too young to experience the Minutemen, live or on record until after D. Boon's death. So this movie is probably the closest we'll ever get to having a second chance.

If nothing else convinces you: the theme song to Jackass is "Corona" by the Minutemen. I know you've all watched Jackass. And I know you like the theme song.

03:31 pm: So today I went to Spin More's and picked up the Beatles' Revolution single and Gin Blossoms' Hey Jealousy single and discovered that not only is winter a great time for vinyl, it kicks ass to drive in. I loved the feeling from pretending that I was crawling along the snow covered roads alone. Of course I wasn't, but i've been getting a lot better at ignoring people. I think that's an important skill for someone like me.
